About Miyowa
Miyowa was launched by Francois Colon and Pascal Lorne in 2003
They’d each previously founded and run tech companies and had been running Pascal’s LBS start-up ‘Ismap’ together, before they sold it to Nokia’s ‘Benefon’ in 2002.
Pascal then went back-packing around the world for 6 months, which is when he decided that his next venture would be a service that made it easier for people to stay in touch with the people they cared about.
When he returned he got together with Francois, developed a joint vision, and together they launched Miyowa. It started out as a small company that provided Instant Messaging on mobiles and has since exploded in to the world leader in aggregating mobile social networks.
Miyowa’s Intouch5™ has not only revolutionized the social network experience – giving users a continuous, real-time over-view of their various social communities, from the heart of their address book – but provides the industry with a long-awaited solution for mobile monetization through targeted advertising.
In 2009 Miyowa was ranked the 19th fastest growing tech company in Europe in the Deloitte Fast 500 awards, thanks to 6440% growth rate between 2004-2008.
Today, Francois runs all product developemts of our Asian and European R&D centers as Chief Technical Officer, while Pascal builds the next 3 years growth from the Silicon Valley office.
They both regularly travel between Miyowa offices in Cupertino, London, Singapore, Paris, Munich, Madrid, Bucharest, Marseille.
